HMU has been known as the leading education entity in the country in training and providing highly qualified human resources for the health sector in Vietnam.

Training capacityof Hanoi Medical University

Students enter HMU after they have completed their “high-school” qualification.

· Annual application: 16,000 to 20,000 students

· Enrolment: 1,000 to 1,200 students (6 - 8%)

· Current total students: 10,000 (both under and postgraduate)

· Undergraduate students: 6,500

o   General medical degrees: 4,500

o   Others: 1,500

· Postgraduate students: 3,500

·  HMU advanced nursing bachelor program in English requires either TOEFL 550 (paper-based) or IELTS 6.5 score.

 

HMU’s expectation from Internationalisation:

·         New programme in English and French for general medicine and/or other disciplines

·         Internationally recognized undergraduates and postgraduates

-Internationally recognized doctors, nurses, and managers capable to practice in international environment
